Butterflies landing on vibrant pink flowers, with summer vibes.

This summer has been a rich, full season of growth as we intentionally live out our core values (click to read). This is how we continue to develop the identity, credibility, and influence of True north 406 Ministries (TN406) and build trust. As more pastors and missionaries experience our mission in action they reach out and trust us to speak into and equip their leadership. This kind of trust is a privilege we do not take lightly.

We launched into these last three months with a full calendar, meeting with couples and individuals for counseling, and diving deep into ongoing professional development. We wrapped up a yearlong training in Whole Brain Living with Dr. Jim Wilder and participated in monthly, all-day virtual conferences through Adam Young Counseling. Alongside that, we’ve been connecting with and consulting pastors, church leaders, and missionaries while also equipping local pastors to care more effectively for the brokenhearted. Last, but not least we helped lead the Living Waters National Training!

Small Groups

Every summer True North 406 Ministries (TN406) switches gears to facilitate small groups. Presently, we have three small groups meeting weekly and soon to have a fourth. This is another way the mission of True north 406 Ministries is lived out and embodied as we facilitate and work through targeted and engaging material that can be processed in no other way than with small groups of brave men and/or women. All of us intentionally welcoming a deeper process of healing into our lives and through this more equipped to share all we have received with our friends and family.

Small Groups We Currently Offer:

  1. Healing the Wounded Heart- The heartache of sexual abuse and the hope of transformation. This is a 10-week book study, by Christian psychologist Dan Allender. It provides guidance and deeper wisdom for real change, and how to live well and more abundantly in a world that’s deeply broken—a world where betrayal, powerlessness, and shame have touched us all in one way or another. In progress now. Reach out to join the next session scheduled for summer of 2026 at truenorth406ministries@gmail.com

  2. The Sex Talk You Never Got- Reclaiming the heart of masculine sexuality. Through a combination of biblical insights and therapeutic wisdom, Sam Jolman invites men to reawaken sexuality marked by innocence, awe, and joy, and to move from shame and struggle into a celebration of desire rooted in worship. In progress now. Reach out to join the next session scheduled for summer of 2026 at truenorth406ministries@gmail.com

  3. Crosscurrent (a condensed Living Waters)- A Christ-centered support group for those seeking truth and grace in their sexuality and relationships. This is an eight-week group for men and women using several themes from Living Waters but condensed and simplified. Virtual only. In progress now. Next session begins October 7th, 2025, at 6-7:30 pm Mountain time. Please reach out to truenorth406ministries@gmail.com for details on how to register.

  4. The Deep-Rooted Marriage-Cultivating intimacy, healing and delight. In this book and companion guide, Dr. Dan Allender and Dr. Steve Call invite you into a deeper experience of God’s fullness and a fuller understanding of what it means to truly love and be loved, just as you were meant to. It’s about more than just reducing conflict or improving your sex life—though those may naturally follow. It’s about healing and growing into the kind of intimacy you were created for. In person only. Begins September 17, 2025, 6:30-8:30 pm. Space is limited so you must reach out to participate at truenorth406ministries@gmail.com.

Living Waters National Training

A nice room full of people worshipping, with lyrics projected at the front

In July, we spent a powerful week in Kansas serving as part of the Living Waters National Training. It was a privilege to lead small groups for both men and women, teach one of the core lessons, and minister to all those who participated. Pictured here are 50 men and women from across the United States, and a few from overseas—who gathered for this transformative time. This week, titled Living Waters Training: Equipping Through Immersion, lives up to its name. Participants are fully immersed in nearly all 20 lessons, experiencing profound healing, growth, and equipping.

You Matter!

Your faithful prayers and generous support make it possible for us to serve the Church and the brokenhearted. Because of you, lives are being healed and transformed. You are a vital part of this mission, and we’re so grateful to have you standing with us. Thank you!

Join the Ripple Effect:

Every week women, men or couples reach out to TN406 asking for support and resources due to marital and personal crises and heartache. We respond to every request with a consultative phone call, resources and often they participate in our programs or we provide referrals.

One couple we have worked with shared the following, “David and Elizabeth are able to relate to our struggles and provide a safe place for us to be honest and vulnerable without feeling shame. They have been able to speak the love of God into our marriage."

Would you prayerfully consider joining us in this work—whether through a one-time gift or ongoing support? We know God brings the right people at the right time, and we trust Him to lead you.

Thank you for taking the time to read our update—it means more than you know. Your care and interest in this mission encourage us deeply.

With Love and Appreciation,

Elizabeth Halliburton
