Hello, dear friends, family, and ministry partners.

Christmas envelope with swinging bell

When we first envisioned True North 406 Ministries, we didn’t understand how profoundly this mission would awaken a vital need within the everyday life of the Church and Missions through providing a safe space for personal healing. To this end, we continue our commitment to helping the Church foster high-trust, compassionate, and immersive healing culture.

We just completed several small groups in late November and early December and celebrated the redemption and healing they nurtured. Each group was an invitation for men and women to tell their stories with integrity and acknowledgement, while also equipping them to engage others' stories with care and vulnerability.

In addition, we have been preparing for our next Living Waters session, which begins on January 12th. This includes facilitating several training sessions for our 14-member leadership team and interviewing the 24 men and women who want to participate in this 20-week personal healing and discipleship experience. We are happy to say we have a “full house” with participants from several churches in our valley. Coordinating Living Waters has many moving parts, and we thank God for how it is all coming together for our 12th session. We have had the privilege of journeying with almost 300 people through Living Waters to date.

Over the last several years, a number of people have encouraged me to write a book about David’s and my story and the subsequent personal and marital healing and redemption. I have been doing extensive preparation for this writing project and will begin writing this book in the New Year. My hope is that our vulnerability will encourage many who struggle in silence to engage and take back their stories of harm to heal and live with freedom in their calling.

The Transformational Power of a Safe Place

I would like to introduce you to Tyler McCormick. As you watch the video below (filmed in 2024), you’ll hear him share his testimony with honesty and humility. Today, Tyler serves as a worship leader at Canvas Church in Eureka, Montana, and is in his first year of the master’s program at Canvas College, where he is studying ministry, leadership, and theology.

Each day, Tyler is living out his calling with renewed freedom as the Lord continues to restore and rebuild his soul. During his participation and subsequent leadership in Living Waters, Tyler discovered that true transformation did not come from trying harder or “fighting” his addiction on his own, something he knew he would have lost, but from surrendering in a safe, grace-filled space where his mind, body and soul could heal and be rebuilt.

This is one life story of hundreds that your prayers and financial support have helped make possible. Thank you!!!!!

For the past 12 years, True North 406 Ministries has partnered with Desert Stream Ministries to run an independent, self-sustaining Living Waters program in Kalispell, Montana. Rooted in the local church, Living Waters creates a safe, authentic culture for healing, freedom, transformation and growth. In addition, we support churches in Montana and beyond to start Living Waters groups, advancing the healing mission of restoring relational and sexual wholeness.

As we come to the close of 2025, we invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with True North 406 Ministries. Your support helps sustain the life-changing, soul-building, and transformational work God does through this ministry.

We are seeking to close a $20,000 gap to fully fund this year’s annual budget which includes two vital initiatives into the coming year: our Counseling Scholarship Fund and our Pastors Cohort Fund. Your generosity directly supports healing, restoration, and the long-game commitment to ministry and relational integrity of the individuals, couples, and leaders we serve.

On a personal note, we are overjoyed to be welcoming two precious gifts: our grandson, Ronan, born to Morgan and Luke (due in January), and our granddaughter, Kennedy, born to Alyssa and Weston (due in February)!!

Thank you for praying with us, believing in us, and supporting us in the mission to foster a healing culture in the Church and Missions.

Thank you for being a part of the story where pastors and missionaries lead from healing, freedom, and flourishing, not hiding and fear.

Thank you for supporting and living out Jesus’ earthly mission to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free. (Isaiah 61)

Sending you peace, joy, and much love this Christmas,

Elizabeth and David Halliburton
